I spent last night catching up with the lovely Hanne of lifes most colourful minestrone hearing all about her recent adventures including mackerel fishing off Brighton, a week at River Cottage and just generally amazingsoundingwonderfulyummydelicious food!!
a massive lover of fruit and veg and after a big shop/ veggie box delivery I photographed our current selection yum :)

Majorca.

Had a brilliant time this time in Majorca with Olive, she was pretty cool considering it was really hot!

I got the chance to do a bit of drawing one morning with my Dad ( and some goats were there too) I decided to draw the bay which was a lot harder than I thought and really enjoyed the challenge.

off on another adventure, olives 1ST holiday to Majorca to visit Grandad, think its gonna be a hot one!! gonna miss blogging but am hoping to use any time creatively and create nice things for tha future.

SO I think I have packed the perfect capsule wardrobe for 2 the first time and illiminated all the things we wont actually wear and now just got the airport/flight bit to get through and then I can reeeeelaaaax...

White.

had a great day today, this morning we did a boot sale at the marina. I had to try really hard not to spend all of the taking so was restrained but couldn't resist this fab sixties apron and a couple of other cheeky bargins.

When we got home and while olive slept off the excitment we reminded ourselves of our garden and I couldn't help but notice white, normally a big fan of colour I experienced a new fresh appreciation of the simple.

Time away.

Hallo, I have been on a road trip this week visiting my Watermark pals and making the most of my time with Olive before getting stuck back into some hardcore work in the Autumn.

It has been great to catch up, goss and chat design, I know this design from Laura Ashley has been around a while but everytime I see it I fall deeper in love, it was nice to wake up and see bees buzzing through the design. Lets hope there is some sun on the cards for this weekend.

Last night.

Had a fab night on the razz last night for my friends hen doo and ran into the very lovely Scott Mills offa Radio 1 along the way, I was chuffed to bits as I regularly listen to his show which never fails to make me laugh!!

He was indeed really really nice too, good stuff :)

I am off out tomorrow night on a friends hen doo, I am a little anxious as getting drunk doesnt seem like the brightest idea plus the rain has been coming down all day but I am going to embrace the theme, The Only way is Essex!! and have been tanning to the max already now just need to glue some more stuff to my body and we should be away!! EEK!! have good weekends all :)

Sunny day.

The sunshine has come to visit hurrah!!

busy times at the mo dont acually think I have ever been this tired and have more respect than ever for my fellow mums, this is pretty exhausting stuff!

Olive is nearly 6 months, I am spending lots of time blending crazy concoctions in the kitchen, working on lovely briefs, and have taken a new and exciting desk space which I will be moving to in Autumn!!

Oh yeah and the picture, love the fabric and thinking of making this simple style top for little people to sell on stalls...???

Lovely person-lovely work.

I had my first full day away from Olive on Monday, courtesy of my Mother-in-law and took the opportunity to go up to London and visit my textiles agent whilst also dropping into the Pulse show at Earls Court, there in the launchpad area was the gorgeous work of dearprudence.

It caught my eye as I had been sent this beautifully illustrated card just after having Olive.

As it happens Laura Vickers of dearprudence is a smashing chick to boot!!

hallo I'm back!

I thought I got my computer back today all fresh and raring to go...I dont...it might be anotherweek yet...??!! EEK this is not great as deadlines are going to come and go and my stress levels are going to rise rise rise so I am holding images of dear Manny from Black books in my mind and am focusing on lots of other bits I need to do like find a possible studio so I can separate work from home...arg!!!

Shock horror!!

Hallo peeps I hope your bank hols are going great. I have been enjoying my time without my comp although now am itching to crack on with some work so fingers crossed for Wednesday that it returns intact!!

First Aid.

My computer is about to go in for some first aid for a week, hurrah as its been freezing and being temperamental!!
I have decided to spend time sketching some ideas for some Autumn childrenswear for my agent aswell as some new greeting card ideas, if possible I may well have a mini break from blogging too!!

A lovely mug.

I have to admit I have spent the last few days having mac envy, big screens are calling to me from everywhere at the moment but alas a mac is still firmly on my wish list :(
I am however rather in love with my new lovely mug!!! JOY!!

As part of the Fringe going on down here at the mo, Citroen were showing off some of their fancy new cars in town yesterday, there was an Orla Kiely number, is there anything this chick hasnt got design on at the mo? :)

Poppies.

I am officially pooped! had the busiest day taking a trip down memory lane and paid a visit to my old work Carte Blanche, it was lovely to see everyone and show off my beautiful Olive who made me proud with her lovely nature.

Along the way these poppies were brightening up a friends garden, wow they were huge and the bumble bees were happily bumbling around inside them!! its the little things. :)

Weddings!

Its that time again when friends are getting hitched and I was pleased that 2 of my very lovely friends asked me to design a bit of detail for their invitations, can't wait, should be a good one :)

Saw this...

...in the doctors today, had to take Olive she has a sore patch on her face from dribblin, and I thought ' YES PLEASE!!!'. I seem to spend a ridiculous amount of time thinking about cleaning and its driving me crazy!!

Car boot blues.

For a couple of minutes last night I thought Jedward were going to come through for me but alas no, and there was me thinking I had developed a new valuable skill of predicting the future!

So to move on and avoid spending all day doing housework I ran out to the marina car boot found this lovely trivet with great illustrations aah the joy of boot sales :)

DOUGHNUTS!!!

Ha ha boot camp finished last night, can't believe that I did it and what better way to celebrate by stuffing my face with doughtnuts courtesy of my other half.
I am completely frazzled from a week of being mum and designing but all is not lost its Eurovision tomorrow and I have out my money on JEDWARD!! sorry Blue but jedward were simply made for Eurovision :)

Phew!

So after a morning of fiddling and faffing I now have a refreshed blog, hurrah!!!
Then had time to have a nice bath, sit in the garden for 5 and make a pie :)

Oh man...

Its 20 past 12!! when I clicked on a new format at 1 o clock this afternoon on my blog I immediatly realised what I had done a bit like when you think its a great idea to paint the living room and then regret doing so about an hour into the actual event...
So my blog is currently work in progress and as I have the squarest of eyes so am going to bed!!

A new dress.

Being a fashion addict in Brighton can be tough if you know you already by some peoples standards you have plenty of summer dresses bulging out of your wardrobe, however with boot camp nearly complete I felt justified in rewarding myself with a few items including this great dress by emilyandfin.
I have recently rekindled a relationship with my sketchbook hence the doodle of my dress and I love the print, lots of tiny horsemen galloping around!!

A day in history.

A special day in history, the bride and bridegroom look amazing, I am trying to convince my fiance he should wear a similar outfit!
Seeing all the people waving union jack flags reminded me of this photograph of my mom ( on the right) and aunt waving theirs in 1953 for the Coronation. Brilliant.

One bank hol weekend gone, a bbq, a walk in a bluebell wood, Olive loved it!! and 2 boot camp sessions done, hurrah!
1 to go before the next big event...the royal wedding!! ooh what her dress gonna be like...? which celebrities are invited...? I cant wait!! :)

As a teenager I spent most of my Easter Sundays at my best friends house where her mum would traditionally make a huge buffet of delicious home made curries and scatter eggs around the garden for the younger children to hunt, this card is in memory of Sarah.

Instead I will be running around a park on a boot camp which starts tonight so join with me on my journey of pain for the next 4 weeks!! arg what have I done...!!!

Olive was picked to model for the Toby Tiger catalogue, great kids clothing shop in Brighton, so yesterday we went along to the shoot.

Flamingos!!

Aah man life is so crazy at the mo, it was crazy before Olives arrival and now my head is constantly spinning as I slowly get to grips with it all, constant doctors visits, 3 and a half months of sleepless nights and trying to keep up with my work, my website is sooo close to being finished!!
We went back up to the midlands this weekend to visit relatives and friends which was super hectic and along the way I noticed properly for the first time these rather cool flamingos donning my father in laws bathroom, very Miami chic!!
