Notebooks.

Hallo, I am working on a couple of projects which as yet cannot be blogged so I am adding a couple of designs I produced whilst completing my MA which I thought would make lovely notebook covers.

A little mention.

Well I was chuffed last night to see that I had my first little mention on the print pattern blog, this had been a little mission for me over the last few months so joy and happiness with me on a grizzly grey friday in Brighton!! x

Recipe.

I happened across this fun blog recipelook the other day and have today enjoyed doing something a bit different. I chose to illustrate a recipe kindly given to me by my friend Sally and created by her Mom. Stained glass.

Hallo I am back and thought I would start off my blogging with a stained glass piece I designed a while ago, after some research I was kindly forwarded a photograph and I was over the moon to see it adding colour and interest to a front doorway.

Moving.

Hallo there, just a quick wee post to explain a pause in my blogging due to moving house!!
V exciting news but not without a bit of disruption so I am signing away for a bit and including a design I produced whilst working at Carte Blanche. x

Winner!!

Well I never, I have won the Tigerprint competiton this month with my masculine football themed design. Brilliant news! This is what lovely things Tigerprint had to say about my design...

Alas there can only be one winner and this month the prize goes to Ilona with her entry above.

"This is a beautiful and clever design. It contains many of the icons we might see in old style traditional cards but the use of photography and thoughtful placement brings it right up to date.

The old style boot and coin are a lovely nostalgic touch and are nicely complimented by the union flag which adds some current trend and keeps the colours alive. The grass background is fun and is what made this design stand out".

Valentines time!!

I love working on Valentines Day designs and as you can see I have gone heart mad but I love them!!

Tigerprint Trad.

I have been working hard on many new and exciting things right now and have just met the deadline for the latest Tigerprint competition for a traditional design, nice.

A French Christmas.

So goodbye to Christmas and New Year fun for another year I just wanted to squeeze in a Christmas medley of photographs I took whilst enjoying the holiday period...and now back to the design work, oui oui!!

Lush.

Just before Christmas I got the chance to meet Mark Constantine Director of cosmetics company Lush. He was great and I showed him a concept I had put together for a gift box, The Rainbow Box he loved it!!

Beautiful leather sale.

I also popped down to Brighton's MADE '09 craft fair at the end of November where I bought these lovely Maxine Sutton notelets, love the compositions, and also bumped into Wolfran Lohr who is currently stocking some of my cards and is holding a sale on his beautiful handmade leather products this Saturday the 19th Dec. Very exciting and probably dangerous, I loved the invitation.

Appreciation.

Brighton is such an amazing place to see different styles and ideas. Last weekend I dropped into a local craft fair at Komedia on the hunt for Christmas presents and fell in love with Saffron Reichenbacker's illustration style and use of bold colour.

On a different note I happened to catch a bit of the mighty boosh last night and as ever very funny but I also loved the 70's patterns and crazy colours they use, brilliant!
