Its been 4 or 5 years since I last visited ND, I used to go for the 2 publishers I worked for looking for new talent. I remember the belly nerves when I did the show myself back in 1998 with Staffordshire Uni too.

I decided to look this time for my top 5 designers who really stood out to me for different reasons and here they are in no particular order, well done everyone for their hard work :)

1. Marie Parry. Loved her colour palette and birds.

2. Lisa Martin. Totally sorted, she will do well.

3.Sylvie McGowan. beautiful colours, patterns and stand.

4. Louisa Heyworth. Wicked, FAB colours, LOVE the neon!

5. Ingrid Hudson. Bold, ballsy prints, really cool.

London Fun.

I had the best time at the weekend, was really fab to see all my old friends and here about what is going on with them, we went out in Brick Lane, saw burlesque, danced and that included my 3 pregnant friends, ate some delicious food at caravan in Farringdon and visited Spitalfields for a mooch, I haven't been for ages so was cool to see how it has moved on since last time.

It was there I got chatting to the very lovely Anna Wiscombe and I could not resist one of her handmade cloud blackboards, just too cute to see more of annas work visit her over at www.annawiscombe.com

Joy and laughter!!

This morning at 6 o'clock Olive and I were watching this and oh it did make me laugh!! if you do have a spare mo do watch it.

Off up to London this weekend to meet up with all my old Watermark crew can't wait it is going to be London fun and I have my car boot money to spend JOY!! happy weekends :)

Olive update.

The lovely Lizzie over at The Pea Pod asked how Olive is doing and the answer is GROWING lots and getting to grips with talking, its fab, in my book her first word was definitely 'hallo' and she says nose, eyes, hair, and lots of other things esp RAA RAA as she is obsessed with raa raa the lion!

Here she is with troys noddy that she has adopted and now takes everywhere, happy Thursdays :)

canvas update...

 my canvas has told me what I think I already knew which is that painting does not always come easy for me, not entirely sure where this one is going...there is a possibility that I may well paint over it and start over...gonna sleep on it and tomorrow am off up to London to visit Pulse.

Work in Prog...

 I got a lovely chunk of time on Saturday to begin my canvas here is a peek at it so far, I also got a new phone so am now able to take fancy photos like this one with Instagram, am intending on having a nice quiet day working on it again today, feels so good to be off the comp :)

Wow I am sooooooo tired and still soooooo much to do in the way of preparation for Pulse (fingers crossed I can get a space!) AND we have decided to get back on the wedding train so have to plan that for next year also!! It can be done, it can be done...

so I am going to take a break from the computer screen for a bit which seems alien to me these days and get a bit more hands on and paint a canvas, its been a while so watch this space...

Jubilee!!

Hiya everyone, how were your weekends? not too washed out I hope, we had a great time at the wedding we went to in Frome, Somerset, it was set in a beautiful house, we all sang all you need is love, ate delicious food, watched fireworks and danced to the band till the early hours, needless to say I am now exhausted and could do with another holiday ha!!! So just time to squeeze in my union jack illustration, happy Wednesday :)

jubilee windows.

I wanted to post some of the fab jubilee themed window displays I have seen out and about over the last couple of weeks, I have seen some really imaginative ideas, everyone is really going for it its great :)

hi everyone wowza it is hot down here in Brighton today and I am NOT complaining just to get that straight but I do feel a bit like I am melting!! However here is the logo for my NEW range which I have called true jewels...I will show you more soon soon soon :)

Weekend fun.

what a jolly weekend I have had, began by going to watch other half play squash on Friday, he really is rather good, followed by an evening of fun and dancing around Brighton with friends and a french relative visiting for the weekend and ended with other half and I chilling out watching James Vincent McMorrow, Irish...high voice...acousticness, check out his version of Steve Winwood's Higher love here.

Think I still prefer Steves version tho ;) here it is.

New pad, fresh start...

Hallo there!! well we have finally moved in to our new pad, it did drag on a bit so am now just so happy to settle and get on with all the exciting new things I have set to achieve this summer!!

Here are a couple of photos of my new local area, the square at the top is where I am hoping Olive will enjoy running around and exploring the grass, trees and insects and the best thing is there is a fence all the way around it!! 

The 2nd is a cute little glimpse of the sea as I walk to the studio. nice even on a grey day...

Seeds...

hallo everyone, I am back down in Brighton :) move house next week and CANT WAIT to get settled and back into things. Before our road trip I worked on these seed packet ideas, I was inspired by an advertisement on print pattern from the balcony gardener, although they have already found someone fab to work with I REALLY enjoyed working on them!

Sunshine and rain.

I am currently up in the Midlands taking a bit of a break before we move house next week.

 Its sooo nice to hang out with friends, take some little trips down memory lane and my black country accent is getting stronger every day!!

I wanted to share with you my NEW cushion available to buy over at Envelop.

Part of my geometric range, it was inspired by the weather and how I wanted to be able to turn it over with Olive depending on sunshine or rain. I have named the design Sol y llvia, sunshine and rain in Spanish.
