Wonderful Music.

Hallo out there, what gorgeous weather we have been having!! I had a great weekend at a wedding in Devon surrounded by 360 degree lush green rolling hills and finished off last night with an amazing intimate gig at a local pub back in Brighton, cross-legged on the floor listening to the beautiful words of Mike Rosenberg from Passenger. If any of you, like me, love good music to listen to whilst creating then this is the stuff to pop into Spotify, in fact it works anywhere, in the car, BBQ's basically they are BRILLIANT!! check it out x x x

Illustration.

Currently on the look out for some magazine work it reminded me of an illustration I did last year whilst with The Bright Agency. Inspired by a part of Brighton brimming with gorgeous boutiques and therefore also filled with gorgeous girls indulging themselves in lovely treats!!

Age cards.

I love creating new characters and have been meaning to begin exploring children for a while, they have taken shape in some age cards which I have just designed to be sold exclusively in Love Frankie, Kemp Town. I have designed 1 to 5 and I have decided to show you my 2's!!

Exciting times.

Hallo so not only do I have all my fingers and toes crossed for Surtex I have now also officially joined the Brighton Illustrators Group. As a pretty newly fledged freelancer I am finding it really helpful and supportive to share experiences (and ask lots of questions!) to established designers/illustrators. I hope to learn more from the many local illustrators living and working in Brighton. To have a peek at my page follow the link http://www.brightonillustrators.co.uk/

Brighton Freakshow.

It is the beginning of the Fringe Festival down here, lots of things happening in and around town, one of which was the The Brighton Freakshow exhibition held at St James Church in the centre of town. A collection of illustrators work on show and to buy and boy it was buzzing!!
I am sure that it was a huge success for the illustrators involved, artists I loved, Hello Marine, more of her work can be seen here http://hellomarineblog.blogspot.com/
Also the work of Will Scobie, (I just love this whale!) a talented illustrator I have been following for a while, he likes explore the world of the continous line. You can see more of his work at http://www.reveriecreate.co.uk/
Have a great rest of weekend!! x

BIG.

Hallo to all my followers i hope that you are having a lovely Bank Hol!!
I am just stealing a bit of time to tell you about a couple of the lovely things I have been lucky enough to do in the last couple of days. I went a long to a meeting of the Brighton Illustrators Group on Thursday and listened to 3 very talented working illustrators Guy Parker Rees, Adam Stower and Guy Passey based in New England House a huge high rise building in Brighton which is crammed full of creatives working in all fields, graphics, illustration, music and tons more.
They mainly designed for childrens books and they characters created were adorable, funny and amazing!!
It was great to hear how other creatives brains work and how they all come up with new ideas and concepts. Check out more about the individual artists here. http://www.brightonillustrators.co.uk/
